Yesterday was a fun day of exploration. I got to see the behind the scenes audio adventure of the mixing of a live TV late night show, the Jimmy Kimmel show. Very fun. The artist was Flo Rida. I probably should be featuring his catchy ditty today, but I’ll forego it seeing as how he’s got a whole lot of publicity going on already.

Instead I’ve had another artist come across my speakers that is vastly different and very intriguing. It’s The Whispering Tree. They have a new release called Go Call The Captain with a song on there called Something Might Happen. What a great title for life. Dang straight that something might happen.

I really like the mellow vibe but I also really like the vocal. There’s an intimate and urgent quality. She’s got a smooth vibe that is somewhat reminiscent of maybe Sarah McLachlan. It’s something people could wrap themselves up into. That’s for sure.
