When does the news actually announce that summer has officially hit? It didn’t hit triple digits yet, but boy it was a hot day. Maybe it was due to the stillness in the air, no breeze. Ick.
For some reason the initial heat like this tends to remind me to a more urban sound. Could be from videos I’ve seen where cats are roaming around in their hot rides with sweat coming off their brow while their rapping their goods to the world.
Couple that with the recent death of probably one of THE most famous poster girls in history: Farrah Fawcett and you’ve got the A-typical idea of California summer.
Hence the reason for today’s pick.
Poster Girl comes from Boo. I don’t know a lot about Boo, but I do know that the tracks I’ve heard I’ve liked. I’m not sure why they aren’t out and about on the digital services yet, but you can enjoy it for the time being here and at his website.
