I may have mentioned that I’ve been working on a piece of music with a friend who called me late monday night. Pulled an all nighter. We got it all turned in based on what was asked. Unfortunately it apparently wasn’t right. Yesterday we had to cut it down and grunge it up. All well and good. We do that. Then again they come back saying, it’s not right. At which point they switch gears and change the genre. WTF?!?

What we ended up doing is asking what exactly is the example of music they want. There’s no sense in chasing a ghost in music. At the end of the day it comes down to whether or not the person in charge of okaying the music knows how to express themselves as to what they want. That is the trick. Being that we were getting word of the ideas second hand, it hasn’t helped. We’re waiting yet again to get a clear example of the type of music they want with the proper voice over to go with.

Until then, I’m going to put my head into creating something else.

Right now, I’m going to think of some Christmasy type stuff all because it’s that time of year. People are running around looking for someone to fall in love with. Or extend their search of finding love anyway. Which is the concept with this song Yuletide Romeo. It was written by Kerry Getz and Stewart Pearson. A couple of songwriting friends of mine. It’s Kerry lending her unique voice to the tune.

I really dig the movement of the chords and the piano based slightly bluesy arrangement. It’s got a great flow. Not overly happy, but not completely sombre. The type of song that is more wishful than anything.

What do you think? Are you single and hoping Santa can help bring you the love of your life? Wouldn’t that be great?

Inspired by great music and randomly spewed words, it makes for a fun way to learn about new music doesn't it? There is no money that can get you on to the site.
