I’m not sure what’s going on, but it seems my server host is having some issues. Bummer.
Everyday it gets a little closer… That could be the story of a lot of our lives couldn’t it? Near misses, near hits? My question is, when do you know that you’ve stayed too long. Worn out the welcome? Things a wandering mind wants to know.
Yesterday’s vocal session went great. I’ll be comping the takes later today to get the demo finalized. But I’m happy with how it’s turning out.
Today, right now, I’m going to go on a hike and get my butt kicked. Sounds like fun right?
I’ve heard that you can’t really know where you’re going until you know where you’ve been. I’m not sure how that works, but I can say that it’s very correct in terms of music. You can’t know where to take it until you know where it’s already been. Musician’s that don’t keep tabs on the music of the past are bound to repeat and stagnate. That’s not fun. I like fun. I also like exploring the past to get ideas for the future. Don’t you?
